All-Armenian Media Association founded

The third Armenia-Diaspora mass media forum was held in Tsakhkadzor on September 16-17. The Forum took decision to create an All-Armenian Media Association. The participants agreed that the name of the organization is a preliminary one, and the final name will be established, as well as its program and Declaration will be elaborated after the initial stage of recruiting members is over.
The association's goal is to unite mass media of Diaspora, Artsakh and Armenia around the ideas of national identity and consolidation of the Armenian statehood. The organization is to organize active information exchange among the Armenian media, by creating an electronic information bank to accumulate information from everywhere in the world about the issues important for Armenians.
Immediately during the Forum, 24 media outlets and journalist unions joined the association, including three from the USA, one from Russia, Iran, Slovakia, Hungary and Turkey each. As for Armenia, ten members are from Yerevan, and one from Goris, Gyumri, Spitak, Vanadzor and Gavar.
